Blog of the Week: Another Coffee Shop - I love how much design related posts are featured on this blog!
Another week has been come and gone and I honestly don't know where it's gone. The blog has definitely taken a little bit of damage this week as I haven't posted nearly as much as I would have liked but some times life does just get in the way. I also forgot to take a proper photo to use for today's Sunday Summary even though I took several others for instagram/other blog posts- oops!
This months been another of listening to very 'indie' type bands and I have been loving it! With longer train journeys since starting at Abertay, a well charged and good songs to listen to have been a must! All the bands I've got in this months playlist have been new finds and I absolutely love them!
For a while now I've been thinking that on twitter there is a serious lack of ways to connect with fellow creative bloggers. From my knowledge, I haven't come across any twitter chats that connect and have weekly chats like Lifestyle, Fashion and Beauty Bloggers do. Also the way I have found all the creative bloggers I love has either been through other social networking sites including stumbling on their blog or seeing them participate in other blog chats.
With all this in mind, I've decided that, along with a few good blogger friends to set up a weekly Creative Bloggers chat!
This has definitely appeared on a lot of blogs this week but this project of tiny illustrations are completely beautiful! |

I have been pretty terrible with the snail mail writing game recently but that hasn't stopped brilliant and beautiful pieces of mail coming through in the post! However, I've managed to write some replies for the people in my #postcircle group which I was meant to do a few weeks ago. Better late than never though.
The first item I received after my last update was this beautiful print from Dainty & Ivory. She had made a few after the Disney Craft Swap she hosted and was wanting to sell some of the ones she had left. I adore this and really need to get a frame for it as it is beautiful to look at.
Amazing illustration by Joanna Grochocka. |

♥ Blog of the week: Hello, my name is Naomi- Naomi has shared so many great posts this week! Lots of posts to do with London Design/Fashion Week!
I have honestly (sort of) got my butt into gear! Yesterday I added some new listings to my Folksy page, so now you can order from my first keyring designs! Each of the keyrings are £7.50 each with postage and packaging varying on where you are from. These are just the first three designs created but I'm hoping to make more with a variety of different quotes on it plus ones with illustrations. I will probably also try and make some Christmas designs that might vary from tree hangers to coasters but wait and see!
This week I have also received some paper samples for me to have a look at. I'm hoping that I'll get some designs made up that I can use the paper as prints and possibly get a large quantity of my calendars printed up. However, I'm not too sure about my calendar. I had it up for sale last year and I don't know if people would want it again but I suppose I should just do it and see how it goes? Who knows might make millions!
Anyway, I'll be trying to update my Folksy site with a few more pieces before the end of the month and I will hopefully get an Etsy account organised next month. So annoying that it won't accept my card whenever I try set it up, but oh well!
With the start of Uni this week and the autumn weather starting to roll in, it definitely is becoming the end of Summer! This Summer has honestly been amazing. So much things have gone on in my life over the past three months that have been amazing and I will remember for the rest of my days. Although, I wanted to do a bit of a round up of the amazing stuff that has happened and also have a look at My Summer Plan list and see how much I have done... or more likely, haven't done!

Over the past weeks or so I've been becoming a bit more interested in photography, especially creative kinds like collages. With starting University this week I feel this sort of style may fit in with the brief I have for Kinetic Illustrations. I love taking photos and feel this would be a great way to include them in my work.
With some of my photographs I took the other day while out for my woodland walk, I edited them using overlays of hues and colours. The results of these were really interesting but I want to try and push these further to create dramatic images like the ones above.
I've also noticed that this styling has become quite popular in album artwork with many albums that have come out during the Summer months have opted for this sort of the design. Among these designs, they seem very nature orientated but I do love how the contrast between portraits and nature look once used together.
Although, when I first heard about our module I was quite skeptical but now I'm looking quite forward to it. I will hopefully keep updating about it on the blog but I may create a new one for extensive research, development and annotation as it seems like it's something that needs to be very detailed to pass.
Once again, Sarah and I decided to take a little trip out with our cameras. This time the destinations were the woods! During the 2 hours we spent in the woods, we found a random set of keys, an abandoned truck and a lonely tent. We also had a little look into The Shell Hoosie, which I think Sarah now wants to live in...
Over the past week or so I've mentioned that for some parts of this blog I haven't really been sure about and I have been wanting to mix up the content. I think ever since I really started this blog I've had a feature going on about sharing something or someone I've found, learned or remembered about. A lot of the time this has been design based and it has been something I've enjoyed. I like sharing pieces from around the internet and so-on that inspires me which is where this post comes in.
Although I want to keep doing this feature, I'm not sure on how I want to keep it up. Some weeks I find a massive amount of things and then others not so much. Through other blogs, I've seen them share an image for each thing, share one image from the week or just write the links- all of which I'm not sure if they suit 'me' or this blog. For the time being I think I will stick to the first idea and include other links for other parts but this may change in the future.

I've already spoken about Monument Valley last week, but the behind the scenes video is brilliant. |
After reading this post by Naomi, I had the realisation that over the past year or so of this blog I haven't share much facts about myself -apart from my newly added About Section and any questions answered in tags. So today I'm going to share 50! Enjoy...

With Autumn surely coming in quickly, I've been thinking that I need to add some new pieces to my wardrobe. Usually when it comes to Autumn/Winter I tend to just dress up in my same summer clothes but throw on a jumper/jacket, however this year after pinning loads of pieces like this, this and this, it's made me want to pick up some stuff!
