I hope you all had a great Christmas! This post is what I got for Christmas. I love seeing what everybody gets for Christmas and Birthday's so thought I would share what I got. I have been very spoilt this year with gifts not just from parents but also from Darren and friends. 

I hope everybody has had a merry christmas so far and you recieved everything you were hoping for!

This week I don't have a specific 'theme' or topic for my pinspiration, I am just sharing some of favourite finds from the week.

I posted a wishlist the other week but a lot of those things on the list aren't exactly things I would recieve and these are a lot more likely than that list. 

I really love the typewriter letter stamps from hobbycraft and I would love to use them for making cards and such. I think my mum would also enjoy them.  I have been really wanting my own copy The Greaty Gatsby since reading it during my 5th year higher english studies. I would have included the DVD instead, but I've got to admit I definitely preferred the book to the film! Obviously I am really badly needing the doctor who, day of the doctor DVD though! I can't wait for the christmas episode! The necklace from john lewis is so adorable and since I am obsessed with foxes just now it would be a key piece to my wardrobe! And look at that owl hot water bottle!? How cute is it?! I also have tops like the final two but I really want more as they are incredibly handy for a night out! Just chuck your ID, money and phone in it and you're good to go without a bag!

Another weekly words is here! And I only noticed that last weeks edition officially meant that I had been doing these posts for half a year(!), how crazy is that?! 

Anyway, every day has hardships and things you need to do but with each day you need to push yourself to get out there and do something more to help yourself. Whether that is just revising a little more each day, starting your own business or simply just make your bed in the morning.

I love gingerbread men but I've still got to have my first one of the season. How about you? What are you enjoying this Christmas just now?

Every so often while I am at work I like to grab a magazine to read during my breaks. Recently, I have been picking up more and more home/craft magazine just out of pure weirdness. Over the past 2 weeks or so I've bought the Style at Home, Homemaker and Craftseller. I adore these magazines and have bought the 'at home' magazines countless times and it's the second copy of Craftseller I have bought! I only picked up Homemaker while in Asda with my mum because it came with a really cute christmas decoupage set.

The set that came with Homemaker included two different decoupage papers, the wooden base for hanging on a tree, glitter and string. I have still yet to make these but I will try do them soon as they will hopefully look great hanging on the tree!

This months issue of Craftseller came free with a mini book filled with Christmas gift crafts that all look like so much fun to do and give! This issue also came with information on setting up your own Shop (perfect timing!), and wintery moodboard and lots of inspirational pieces!

Style at home also had a lot going on inside this issue to with there being the standard features of other peoples homes it also came with a gift guide broken down into sections. There are countless things through those pages I would want- not just from the for her/teens section but also for kids! It also came packed with lots of little Christmas D.I.Ys that I think I may try and do myself as well. Plus some lovely sound drinks and foody recopies that I want to try out- especially the Candy Sticks.

I think I'll leave it there so I don't give away everything that the magazines hold! But be sure to be pick up a copy if you can since it only cost me £10.03 (because of work discount) for three magazines, a decoupage set and a diy book it is definitely a good deal!

Since last week I shared the Christmas Time mood board which was a hit and since I've been looking at research for my Web Design brief, I thought I should combine both ideas for this week!

For my brief this time I have to design the branding and website for a clothing company. As I said in my into to Web Design & New Media post from the other week I had to pick a name from 5 different options or I could make one up. I decided to go for 'Hoxton'. The idea for my clothing company was is going to be aimed at females and is going to have a vintage and fresh styling to it.

Over the past month I have been pretty obsessed with more calligraphy styled types and I think that shows in my favourites that I have chosen for this month. However, I am still loving the hand drawn type that has been so popular this year.As always, these fonts are completely free to download however to use them for commercial use please check with the designer first!

I generally don't really do any of these each year apart from putting the stickers up (always my job). However, I've never done number 1 or 8 on my list so they will be something that has to be done this year!

This weeks starting of a little differently. Normally I would start the week of with Crafty Colours but recently I've been getting slightly bored of this and have been more inspired by looking at photos and such. Also, I'm hoping to receive a camera for christmas so I'm hoping I will get out there more and take some photos! So this week and for most weeks onwards, I'm having more of a mood board of inspirations. Photos have been sourced from blogs, pinterest. To carry along the original crafty colours idea, I've selected a few key colours from the photos and two fonts that I feel go well with this season.

This was also kinda inspired by Live it. Love it. Make its. blog post on Christmas Tips 

I hope you like this new way of this, as I'm hoping to do this a bit more regularly. I feel a lot more inspired by this and after doing this in my calendar brief I feel much more connected with it. 

OMG! I cannot believe it's already December!! I'm actually so excited for this month to be honest.

A lot of stuff is going on month, obviously as it will be for a lot of other people. I'm almost finished my calendar and have a way of hanging it so now all I need to do is sort some of the colours as they have came  out to dark and set up my Etsy and such. Also since it's Christmas is this month everything else is busy. My work is going to be super busy with people buying food and such for Christmas dinners. Also, I'm probably going to be quite busy with college work as I feel like I'm going to have a lot to do with our most recent brief- you can read about my next brief today's other post. 

This blog has also gone some little changes, like layout and buttons. However, I've also changed some content by including more 'lifestyle' posts, like my geek week ones. So I'm hoping to include more of those during the next few weeks and I may whittle down Crafty Colours a bit but I'm not sure yet. 

Anyway I think that's all my recent news for this month, so just keep peeled for more posts and for my etsy shop opening up!!
