2015 Word of the Year

Friday, January 02, 2015

For last year after reading so many people do the same, I decided to focus on having 'create' as my word for 2014. Having this word or idea of it in the back of my mind always gave me a bit more motivation to keep it up. For 2015 I have chosen another word which is 'experiment'. This word is quite similar to last years but there is a few difference between them.

The difference between the two focus more on the context of each of them as this years is more an 'all rounder' than mainly art/design based. For example, one of the big things I want to focus on but forgot to include in my Goals & Dreams is that I want to push myself and try different foods that I wouldn't usually eat.

My fussy eating isn't something I've ever spoken about in great depth on this blog before but I am an extremely fussy eater and I always have a huge struggle in just trying new foods, even really basic things. Over the past 2 years or so I definitely have broadened my taste buds but I still have a long way to go with this and I would love that my 'go-to' food at restaurants didn't result to chicken fillets or haddock.

The more arty/design side of this ties in with my main challenge for 2015 which is #Create365. Throughout this project I'm going to try and create some new every single day till 2016. I'm not limiting myself to one form of media, medium or theme. I just want to create something daily. Whether this is art, design, an illustration, a new photograph or a piece of writing- I want to do a mixture!

What's your word for the year?

  1. What a great idea! I'd say my word would be "experiment" as well! Since I already eat mostly everything, my goal would have to be targeted more toward the blogging world. (-: Good luck in your #Create365 project and hope you have a happy new year! (:
