So today I am back with a long time favourite post of mine to do but one that I haven't done in over a year and a half! I used to post my free font favourites monthly from July till December 2014 but never ended up carrying it on after that point. However, I am back now with some of my favourite fonts from over the past 10 months!
Another Shabby // Neotric // Chasing Embers // Dreamwalker // Sweet Pea // From The Woods // LillyBelle
Title font: Ostrich Sans
There is definitely a common theme with the ones I've shared above- hand drawn and textured! I think a lot of my artwork and design work has moved towards this kind of aesthetic and it has definitely impacted which fonts I'm drawn too.
As always these fonts are free to download but they all have their terms and conditions as to how and where you can use them so please do check out that before going and using them! Also try and credit the creator where possible as it's the best way for them to get recognition too!
I hope you enjoy using these fonts, let me know how you use them & any current fonts you're enjoying using!
More and more nowadays people are so wrapped up in the world on their screens that they don't take in the beauty of everything around them.Opting to hashtag instead of talk and use filters instead of their own eyes, it's no wonder that people don't seem to venture into the unknown anymore. Which is where Tim Easley's new promotion packet fits in. For somebody who loves all things printed I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!
Aguafina / Lavanderia / Defenseless / Sofia / Bookends / Hello Heartache
Over the past month I have been pretty obsessed with more calligraphy styled types and I think that shows in my favourites that I have chosen for this month. However, I am still loving the hand drawn type that has been so popular this year.As always, these fonts are completely free to download however to use them for commercial use please check with the designer first!
Let me know below what you is your favourite font this month?
OMG! I cannot believe it's already December!! I'm actually so excited for this month to be honest.
A lot of stuff is going on month, obviously as it will be for a lot of other people. I'm almost finished my calendar and have a way of hanging it so now all I need to do is sort some of the colours as they have came out to dark and set up my Etsy and such. Also since it's Christmas is this month everything else is busy. My work is going to be super busy with people buying food and such for Christmas dinners. Also, I'm probably going to be quite busy with college work as I feel like I'm going to have a lot to do with our most recent brief- you can read about my next brief today's other post.
This blog has also gone some little changes, like layout and buttons. However, I've also changed some content by including more 'lifestyle' posts, like my geek week ones. So I'm hoping to include more of those during the next few weeks and I may whittle down Crafty Colours a bit but I'm not sure yet.
Anyway I think that's all my recent news for this month, so just keep peeled for more posts and for my etsy shop opening up!!
This weeks Weekly Words was design was inspired by a 'fashion' moodboard I seen here. I loved the colours used on the tshirt design and the styling of it so introduced it into this weeks design. I hope you like the design created below and can find some inspiration from it.
Created using Apple Berry designed by Brittney Murphy.

Here's this months Free Font Favourites! I really hope you can enjoy them and get use of them as well. Even though these are all free, please make sure what the details are for using for commercial use as each will vary depending on the designers rights.
This weeks weekly words is inspired once again from a design I seen on Pinterest. I seen it at the beginning of the week but I can't remember if I've pinned it or not, pinned waaaaay to much on there this week!!

Once again another new month is here! Where does the time fly? Soon it'll be Christmas!! Am I allowed to say that yet or will I be shunned into silence?
This weeks motivational words are "Do something amazing", whether that be something like running a marathon, helping out a friend or just creating some awesome work! Just do it!
This weeks quote stemmed from a design I seen through pinterest that you can see here. I have started using pinterest a lot more since being back at college so follow me on it for some little bits of inspiration! I have also had to create a blog using tumblr for college purposes, but since I already used tumblr before hand I just slightly recreated my tumblr page so that it would be a bit more fitting for the purposes.
Now on to the actual designs! As many of you may know, I can be very indecisive at times. So once again, this week has more than one final design! The reason being for this is because of me being indecisive again but also because when I started asking friends which designs they liked best I suddenly realised- and it was pointed out to me- that the collection of designs I sent them created a 'traffic light' like effect.
I hope you enjoy these designs and please let me know below in the comments which one is your favourite colour way of the design!
This weeks design has been created using the font Windsor Hand designed by Skyhaven.

So it's a beginning of a new month! Wow! It does not feel like that it was like 3months ago that I started this blog. And it definitely does not feel like a year ago that I only started college. How time pasts huh?
I'm actually really excited for it being September! I mean, I don't have anything exciting really happening for this month or for the rest of the year. But I just love when it comes into the second half of the year and everybody starts getting festive. And the weather cools down a bit. Because it just means you can wear hoodies and feel comfortable. Cuddle up on the nights when it gets dark early. And drink hot chocolate with little marshmallows (and in a Tardis mug!).
This month is starting out with a bang because I have been featured quite heavily over on Colours and Carousels this weekend! On Charlottes blog, I have been featured with two posts- one review guest post and as her interviewee for her Desert Island! So you should pop over and have a read of those and also check out her blog as it's a great read!
Also this month, and probably continuing on from this month. I will be showing of my design work from my college projects. So this means I will be uploading mood boards, roughs, my development and final designs. I hope these will be of an interest to some of you and I can get feedback from you all as well! In some projects (probably my graded unit), I will also be asking for you to fill out a questionnaire.
I may also be started to design and sell some of my own designs over at probably Etsy but possibly Society6! But this will depend on if I have time as I'm in college from 9-5 Monday-Wednesday and I work 2 to 3 days the rest of the week. But we'll see! I'm also thinking on making some free printables from design work I created over the summer- mainly my 'Thank You' notes I created for giving out after my birthday, which I'd expand to include RVSP and Save The Dates. Would this be something you would be interested in? Let me know!
So stay tuned to the blog for more and more posts! Let me know below what your excited for this month.

This week your in for a treat! Because I am so sucky and indecisive at picking which designs I should go for and because I liked both designs equally, you are getting both of them! I feel like the bottom design could be better used for something like a print. But I love the colour on the top one.
I can't really remember the reason for picking this quote, I started doing the design at the beginning of the week and I think I seen it maybe on pinterest or tumblr. I hope you like it though!
Also, would anybody actually be interested in buying prints of any of the past weekly words? If so, speak now! I'm considering either setting up shop on Etsy or making the prints available through Society6. So just let me know if you would be interested and I can take it forward from there on!
This weeks font is Tall Films designed by GemFonts.
The colours used in this design have been taken from this weeks Crafty Colour- Coral.
So today is the start of a new month, I hope everybody has been enjoying their Summer. I know the last few weeks the UK has been having a bit of a heat wave apart from this past week where it's been pretty rubbish weather.
So tell me how has your summer been so far? Have you been on holiday or had a staycation? Tell me all about!
As most of
you will probably know, today is the final of the men's singles in the
Wimbledon Championships! What most of you probably don’t know is
that I am Scottish and therefore I will be supporting my fellow Scotsman- Andy
Murray!
Today’s grand slam is Andy Murray VS Novak Djokovic. The commentator coverage and conversations starts at what I think they said would be at 12:30 and the tournament is meant to kick off at some time around 2pm.
So that will be what my Sunday afternoon consists of for at least 3 to 4 hours, maybe more considering Djokovic’s semi final lasted about 5 hours and Murray’s lasted about 3 and a half hours.
How
will you be spending the rest of your Sunday? Are you going to be watching the
Wimbledon finals? And if so, who will you be rooting for to win? Let me know
below!
This is a little overdue considering my birthday was a week ago... But here are some of the birthday cards I received! I wasn't able to include all the cards I got obviously, so these are just a handful of ones I received.
