Last week and the week before, I shared photos from my recent trip to Edinburgh. Obviously while I was there I bought/got a few things- unfortunately no Christmas presents though! I hadn't actually realised how many things I got till I was sorting through it yesterday. Most of the things I got were either from the National Gallery, St James Shopping Center or Markets.
During the weekend Darren and I were able to visit my local Car Boot as I wasn't working the morning. We are usually quite sceptical about going to this one as it doesn't usually have many outstanding 'buys' but this weekend was probably one of the best we've been too.
While I was away in Edinburgh I picked up a few things to take home. I loved the variety of shops that there was around the Grassmarket and Royal Mile area and I definitely did splurge in a few of these! I also picked up something for my room and a few things just to remember the holiday by.
Heart Shape Photo Frame £2.99 - The Works
Meerkat Necklace - Edinburgh Zoo
Geometric Deer Card - Red Door Gallery
Geometric Deer Notebook Set £4 - Red Door Gallery
Fox Pouch £28 - Red Door Gallery
Mini Bear £3 - Miss Katie Cupcake
Mini Owl Ceramic £4.50 - Miss Katie Cupcake
Cookey Washi Tape £2.50 - Eden
Dream Catcher Bracelet 2 for £5 - Grass Market Stall
What's some of your favourite things you've bought while on Holiday? Whether it's something from a brand store, independent shops or a market stall?
While I was away in London I obviously made a few purchases from all the places I visited! However, in the end including all my spendings on gifts, souvenirs for myself and meals I only spent about £200!
Last week I shared what I bought from the Harry Potter Studios, but no that wasn't all I bought while I was away! On our way down we stopped at the Gretna Green Shopping Village and then the hotel we stayed at in Westmorland had a cute little farmshop where I got something too. I ended up buying most of these from my favourite shop- The Works!
So as you all must know by now, I was at The Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour last week. And of course, I bought myself a few things!
So that's all that I got from the Harry Potter Studios! I am quite surprised I didn't spend more but I am really wishing that I picked up the memorabilia box as it had a lot of pretty pieces of design inside! Maybe if I get to go back I'll get it then!

So this little bear I didn't buy but Darren bought for me. I ended up buying the slytherin scarf in return. |
So a few weeks ago I bought a fair few things from Boots after getting my Boots Advantage card and being persuaded by Clare a lot! I thought I would share what I bought and my initial reactions are to them are.
Boots Botanics Shine Away Inoic Clay Mask- I've used this a few times since buying it and I am pretty please to say that it is great! However, the one problem I had with it was that it was very very watery to start with.
Real Techniques Blush Brush- Ok so this is my first ever Real Techniques buy and I am so happy with it! It's a great brush plus it's sooo soft!
Maybelline Baby Skin- Once again I bought another product because of Clare- surprise, surprise! But I have to admit I really like it! It makes my skin feel really smooth, literally like baby skin!

Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make Up Remover- I bought a travel sized version of this a while back but only properly started using it as of late. But I love it! It definitely helps and removes my make up from my eyes. I do need to use a few cotton pads though.
Maybelline Colour Show in Maybe Blue- I mainly bought this colour and brand due to the fact it went with what I was wearing for Darren's birthday meal. But the colour is beautiful and I wish I didn't have to have taken it of due to work!
Batiste Dry Shampoo- This wasn't a new buy or anything but I just need to restock on it as I was all out! As you can tell I bought the massive can!
Natural Collections Blush in Pink Cloud- I really only bought this as I was needing a quick blush fix. I've never really been one to use Blushers but thought it was about time to actually use them! I decided to start of with this as it was a really sweet and good colour for using day to day.
Nivea Lip Butter Raspberry Rose- OMG! I am in love with this! I bought this after Clare let me borrow hers as my lips were cracked and this is what she had! It smells and tastes amazing- literally like millions!
Let me know below if you have bought any of these products as well and what you've thought of them!

I had originally planned to write about something else today, but I left it a little late and I have to leave soon. So instead you're getting my most popular posts from 2013.
I know this is quite a delayed September related post since it's almost November (ohmygod!) but I've only been so busy lazy to do it any other time but it's here now!
A lot of the things I have bought from last month are now unavailable to buy from where I originally bought it from so I'll just link to the company I bought it from.
What have you been buying the past month?

This weeks quote is taken from a quote I seen on pinterest here. The design for it has been inspired by Lindsay Whitehead- the face of Unraveled Design.
I found Lindsay's work in a calendar I bought the other week from Waterstones (which will be featured in my September Haul soon!) and I really adored her designs. Her designs revolve around typographic quotes and colour palettes. The colour palettes she creates for her designs I really adore.
So I hope you like my rendition of the quote and like Lindsay's work just as much as I do!
I used my own handwriting (with a bit of modification on illustrator) but I like the hand made feel of it! I also used colours from this weeks Claret colour palettes!

In August, my boyfriend- Darren and his family went on a day trip to Livingston and in one shop- The Works- I bought quite a few things! I've also been buying a few other little things from Car Boot Sales and using vouchers I've still not used from my birthday.
Once again, Darren bought me something! This was from one of the stalls that the Shopping Center had. I've not used it yet but it's got a lot of space in it for cards and change! |
I got these two tins from a car boot sale for 50p each. I don't actually drink tea and my parents already have tea boxes but I think I might use them for my collection of pens I have! |
I bought these two letter sets on an impulse buy! They were only 99p anyway! But I think I'll end up decorating these with the washi tape I mentioned in my Back To College post. But I'm not to sure! |
These 3 cute elephants I bought from the same person I bought the tins from. The set of 3 cost me 50p (I think). But they were so adorable that I couldn't just leave them! |
I got these also in The Works. I hadn't read or heard anything about these books but they sounded great from what I read on the back. I spent £5 on the 3 books because they were on a deal! So cheap!! |
Have you been spending your money wisely or on a whim this past month? Leave a comment below with links to your posts about them so I can have a read! Or just tell me what you've been buying!
