This weeks LiveMakeDesign features freelance illustrator Sandra Dieckmann. 

This weeks design for weekly words is inspired by illustrator and painted Oana Befort. I really loved the style of her water coloured paintings of flowers. You should definitely go check out her designs! The quote inspiration for this week has just been something that's been on my mind  lately. 

Since completing my App Design, I've been in a bit of a creative rut, not a good thing since I've got another design brief to complete for Monday! So I've had a hard past few weeks try to do this. However, I need to just keep experimenting and doing other pieces of art to try and get my creativity back up to speed.

So I hope you like the design below, to sort of 'develop' my skills and such more, some day I might try and do a water colour version of it soon. I've not used water colour properly since being in Secondary School doing my higher art (like a year and a half ago!). So I quite want to practice with it more.

The font I used to create this design is A Gentle Touch by Vanessa Bays.

Today's LiveMakeDesign features Alyssa Nassner, an illustrator and designer from Baltimore. 

So last weekend I showed some of the photos I took while I was away on my Castle Fraser trip/briefing. Today, I am showing the final designs I produced for this brief. Obviously I did have to do sketches and research but because it was a one week brief I kept the majority of my research on Pinterest and only pulled designs I found most inspirational onto the files I was working on. With my sketches I did do a few but I never really went very in-depth with these and more experimented with designs on illustrator.

This weeks LiveMakeDesign'r is illustrator and graphic designer Joanne Hawker. 

Recently, I have been thinking about my End of Year Exhibition -even though its months away- and how we need to do a bit of branding for ourselves. So because of this I have been slightly looking into companies that do printing for things like business cards and such.

The next brief I'm doing at college is to create an app for or based on Castle Fraser. We were given our brief for this mini unit on the day we visited Castle Fraser. 

This weeks weekly words is again inspired by Charles Trippy. Charles, with his wife Alli, vlog by the name of CTFxC and Charles is in the band We The Kings. The reason being for this is because of the amount of stuff he has had to go through this past year...

Well it seems like it was forever ago that I first uploaded the Research and Development parts to this brief! But today is about the packaging and promotional stuff that I had to create as part of my unit. 

This weeks LiveMakeDesign is Lilla Rogers Global Talent Search winner- Zoe Ingram!

I stumbled across Zoe's work not long after I started up this blog.

Zoe started her venture into becoming a designer since a young age being interested in design and all things creative since her childhood years. During her high school time she spent a large amount of it in the art department creating things during her spare time. While at school she also briefly studied illustration and took various art classes during her time there. After high school, Zoe studied Textile Design and graduated with an honors degree in printed Textiles from the (formerly) Scottish College of Textiles.

After graduating, Zoe worked for design agencies for her first 12 years of her career. However, after having two children she decided that she wanted to change to a freelancer. 

In the past year, Zoe has taken part in Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells eCourse and has also just won the Lilla Rogers Global Talent Search Competition. In the competition there was orginally over 1500 entries to the competition. From winning the competition it means that Zoe will be represented by Lilla Rogers for the next 2 years, along with runner up- Daniel Roode. As well as being represented by Lilla Rogers, Zoe will also get a mini fabric collection, a scrapbooking license, a home decor and gift product line, a jounral cover, a decorative garden product and a feature in 'Where women create business'. She has also just landed a book deal with publishers Quarry, who have also worked with Lilla Rogers in the past. 

Apart from anything to do with Lilla Rogers, she was also contacted by Jellystone Designs. For the company she was asked to create and design some illustrations and patterns for their new range that is not only aimed at parents but also for children.

In Zoe's work she uses a lot of bold, bright colours. She also plans out her designs now, whereas she used to just jump straight to the computer.

I hope you enjoy Zoe's work just as much as I do. I think I won't be the only one anticipating the day where you can buy some of her work she does with Lilla Rogers.
