Dear January,
Already a month in to 2015 and I cannot get my mind around that. This month has been pretty chilled back even though I've had a few different things going on. Through January though I have just been so bogged down for some reason. I don't know if it's some weird lasting rut that has made it's way into all walks of my life but it's been here which is pretty crappy. I've been so inconsistent with this blog and my uni work that I feel I just need a good right ol' kick up the butt to get going again.

Dear December,
This past month has been kind of weird. I say it like every week, let alone every month, but it has past so quickly! I've had so many great days this month with the Fireworks, trip to the DCA/McManus Exhibitions with Uni and my weekend away in Edinburgh.
I have been getting a little stressful with all the Uni work that's gone this month with a hand in and loads of presentations going on last week, this week and next! It's a bit mental. But I'm kind of glad that I'll basically be finished Uni for this term after this week and I can get relaxing before Christmas.
I have been wanting to do some Christmas laser cut designs too but not had the time. I would try and get it done next week but think it may be a little late to do a huge amount or actually sell them on Etsy/Folksy, so we'll see! I'm yet to actually get into the competition briefs I mentioned last month but with time of from Uni I'm hoping I might get a chance then. I don't know though as I feel I'll be loading myself with loads and loads of projects again and I'll stress out more!

Dear August. July has been absolutely crazy! So much has happened from Darren and I having a trip to Edinburgh, which resulted in our engagement to other bits and bobs. I've not exactly done as much as I have wanted to this past month but I've started working on things that I hope I will push myself to do more off.
I can't believe that once again it is the start of a new month! Anyway, let's have a look at how I managed last months goals!
Save!- I haven't done as much saving as I'd like to due to the fact that Darren and I booked a little holiday to Edinburgh next week but my bank account is up to a healthier sum!
Enjoy- I've definitely done this! I've loved June! Even though my birthday hadn't gone all to plan it was still a great night and the End of Year Show was an overall success!
Develop- Ok so I haven't really done much of this but I've only been finished college for a week so July/August will be more high time for that! I have been able to get my camera(s) out more so at least that's something!
Enjoy- I've definitely done this! I've loved June! Even though my birthday hadn't gone all to plan it was still a great night and the End of Year Show was an overall success!

Create- I've said this enough times to not have actually done it yet! But this month (and next) I will create more for my shop and myself!
Make the most of my days- this summer I don't want to be sitting on my but doing nothing all day! I was out for a large amount of the day and I had a great time catching up with a friend and taking some photos that I want to do things like that more!
Continue my reading habit- Last month I've managed to get a through a few more books than I've managed in past months so I hope to get back into my old swing of readings!
What's your goals for the next month?
Continuing with my theme of personal goals! I have to admit though this past month I haven't done so well on the goal front. Maybe my goal for this month is to actually making something more achievable haha!
I can't believe it's April already! This year is going far to fast and I truly don't want my college time to end- even if some people annoy my to hell and back! Also, I hope none of your fell into any nasty April Fool pranks today and if you did you can easily share it below! Now onto my goals from the past month.
So at the start of last month I shared a few goals that I hoped to achieve within this the past four weeks, I have to admit I haven't really done this, oops!
Get into my sleeping routine more- I'm going to start of on a good note here! I've definitely been trying to get into a better sleeping routine, especially this past week. Normally I stay up till 1 in the morning but for the past week or so I've been coming of my laptop at 11 or earlier and been asleep by 12. I think it's helped that I've also just been wanting to read more so I make the time too.
Save money-I did this kinda... I have started emptying my purse at the end of the week and putting it in my piggy bank. I'm also trying to earn some more money from Avon.
Do more for OhHay!- Ok, I'll admit I haven't done much for this recently. I never realised how busy this past month would be with college client work and Uni interviews and portfolios to sort. I will start doing more for this in the next few months though- I will!
Do more to my room- I haven't done anything major like painting my room or getting a desk but I've bought a few new furnishings to my room that make it feel a little more homely to me.Things I've picked up this month include: a cushion for my bed, candles, wall art and of course the lamp I bought.
For March I hope to do a little better with my goals and I will keep my previous goals in my mind and keep up with them too.
Try and relax more- I'm really bad for stressing out about things and always trying to do heaps of other stuff. But this month I'm going to try and make a little more time for me. I know it won't exactly be spa days every week but I'm going to try and take a few more evenings where I will come of my laptop earlier and read. I'm also going to try and actually have a bath once this month, I've not had a proper bath in years as I find showers so much easier.
Get into a routine of taking my make up off- So many people are going to cringe at this but I'm so bad for just going to bed without taking my make up off just because I'm so tired. But within the last month I started doing it a lot more and I feel a lot better. This is just something I need to carry on with as there was a time during this month where I kind of gave up on it.
Work hard- This month I've got my most important unit at college- my graded unit! I really need to get an A for this so that I can get into University so it's really important I do well. I achieved an A last year so I feel like I know I can do it. I just need to make sure I keep up to date with my workload, read the check list and take on board what my lecturers tell me.
Be organized- I really need to start being a little more organized with this blog as a lot of the time I end up writing blog posts on the day or the night before. I can some times get myself a little stressed out so I need to start planning so I don't.
So that's my main goals for this next month, let me know what yours are if you have any too?
I've kind of started having 'goals' in the back of my mind this past month that have stemmed from my resolutions including:
- Illustrating more things to start selling.
Ok, so well this hasn't gone completely to plan. I have had ideas and I have drawn some of them. But that's really as far as I've gone with them. But I will do a bit more and be a bit better with this, this month. - Read more.
This was definitely done this past month! I finally finished the book I've been reading the past year or so and also completed another book by the same author and started a new one. - Blog more.
I feel I've done well with this as I've written more personal posts this month than I have done before. - Be more craftty.
I haven't done as much as I wanted to this month but I have started making a dent. I bought some new watercolours and paint brushes and started doodling/messing around with them. I also uploaded my first kind of D.I.Y/Crafty post to this blog!
I think I'm going to start making monthly mini goals to try and get myself organised better!
February Goals
- Get into my sleeping routine more.
The past few weeks since I've been of from college I have been going to bed late and waking up about 12. I need to start getting into a better routine as I'm seriously going to be exhausted 24/7! - Save money.
I really need to start saving more! I have to make the final payment for my college trip to London in April so I need to make sure I have enough for that plus spending money. I also need to have some spending money since I'm getting to go to the Harry Potter Studios!! aaaaah!!! I also really want to save up and buy myself an iPod as my iPod at the moment is becoming a bit old and breaking. So it might be worth replacing it soonish. - Do more for OhHay!
I'm meaning this for both my blog and my shop. I've been wanting to properly redesign this blog so that it has a more consistent 'brand' feel and so it has a bit more of a design. I really want to have a blog design like Being Little and A Little Birdy Blog. As I've said, I also want to add stuff to my shop. I originally really wanted to create some stuff for Valentiens Day but I think I need to focus on just designing basic all-year round things first then focus on the holidays. - Do more to my room.
My room really needs a freshing up so I've slightly started that today! I bought a new lampshade today and some fairy lights so that's a start! I really want to repaint and rearrange my room, however that might be something that needs to wait till the Summer Holidays though. In the mean time I might just add a few more features like new lamps and possibly a desk.
That's my main goals that I'm going to try and focus on this month! Since this is the shortest month I can only hope I manage to do it all!
I'll recap at March how I've done with my goals for this month and write up next months ones as well!
ohmygod! I can't believe it's already January 2014! This past year has flown by so quickly. And over the past year I've had a very good year. With setting up my Folksy shop and selling two of them within the last month, turning 18, passing my theory test and Darren and I celebrating our 3rd anniversary together it certainly has been crazy!
I'm hoping within the next month and throughout 2014 I will continue to develop my Folksy shop and hopefully manage to set up an Etsy one as well. I'm generally thinking that I would make prints, notebooks, buttons, greetings cards and post cards. I also may try making some magnets or mirrors if I'm able to get supplies to go with my button maker, however I could always just use a company like Awesome Merchandise to make them. In the mean time, I'd really love it if you could give me any other ideas of stuff I could create. I'm really hoping this year to be a bit more creative in my work and would love to try some new things!
As well as being creative in my work and such, I want to do more creative projects for myself. Ones like little D.I.Y's that I can share on here.
I realise this post is basically just extending on my hopes and resolution post but to be honest, this is really all that's going to be going on this month. Apart from the obvious college related posts and such!
Happy New Year everybody!
I know nobody from my own time zone will read this the minute it has been posted as everybody will be busy celebrating! But I just wanted to wish everybody a happy and safe new year.
I hope to have some new and exciting plans and ideas throughout 2014 so keep a look back for that. And as ever link below about your 2014 posts, I'd love to read them!!
OMG! I cannot believe it's already December!! I'm actually so excited for this month to be honest.
A lot of stuff is going on month, obviously as it will be for a lot of other people. I'm almost finished my calendar and have a way of hanging it so now all I need to do is sort some of the colours as they have came out to dark and set up my Etsy and such. Also since it's Christmas is this month everything else is busy. My work is going to be super busy with people buying food and such for Christmas dinners. Also, I'm probably going to be quite busy with college work as I feel like I'm going to have a lot to do with our most recent brief- you can read about my next brief today's other post.
This blog has also gone some little changes, like layout and buttons. However, I've also changed some content by including more 'lifestyle' posts, like my geek week ones. So I'm hoping to include more of those during the next few weeks and I may whittle down Crafty Colours a bit but I'm not sure yet.
Anyway I think that's all my recent news for this month, so just keep peeled for more posts and for my etsy shop opening up!!
It's November!! I can't believe it's literally like 2months or so till Christmas!
So the past month I've been very busy with college and work and other little bits and pieces. At college in the past month I think I've completed/been briefed on about 4 different projects! I think it's fair to say that I've been a bit busy with college and because of this it has ran me done a bit. I mean in the way of being 'run down' that because I've had to work on so many different kind of briefs, and create so much things not just for college, for this blog too! It has given me major creative block which wasn't great as it was during a project that I had no inspiration or motivation for what-so-ever! I'm starting to slightly come out of this but I think it may still be a while, I think I just need to stop being so stressed about having to create stuff and let it come a little more naturally.
Moving on from the boring and stressful side of things, I HAVE actually started looking into and developing things to make and sell! I'm probably going to be buying some supplies and other things during the next week or so as I will have just been paid from my job at the Co-Op and will have a decent amount of money to get it all started up. However, I need to start saving up for my college London trip that we have just been given more information about this week!! so excited Hopefully I will be able to get my initial idea done and dusted this month and will be able to start selling stuff through Etsy but I'll just need to see how things go. At college just now, our brief is also to create a calendar and our lecturers have encouraged us to make it good enough to be able to sell so that's something else that may be coming!
That's really all the news I have for this month but I would like it if you all go say happy 18th birthday to my dear friend Clare! You can either say happy birthday through her blog here or twitter @claresloves.
Once again another new month is here! Where does the time fly? Soon it'll be Christmas!! Am I allowed to say that yet or will I be shunned into silence?
So it's a beginning of a new month! Wow! It does not feel like that it was like 3months ago that I started this blog. And it definitely does not feel like a year ago that I only started college. How time pasts huh?
I'm actually really excited for it being September! I mean, I don't have anything exciting really happening for this month or for the rest of the year. But I just love when it comes into the second half of the year and everybody starts getting festive. And the weather cools down a bit. Because it just means you can wear hoodies and feel comfortable. Cuddle up on the nights when it gets dark early. And drink hot chocolate with little marshmallows (and in a Tardis mug!).
This month is starting out with a bang because I have been featured quite heavily over on Colours and Carousels this weekend! On Charlottes blog, I have been featured with two posts- one review guest post and as her interviewee for her Desert Island! So you should pop over and have a read of those and also check out her blog as it's a great read!
Also this month, and probably continuing on from this month. I will be showing of my design work from my college projects. So this means I will be uploading mood boards, roughs, my development and final designs. I hope these will be of an interest to some of you and I can get feedback from you all as well! In some projects (probably my graded unit), I will also be asking for you to fill out a questionnaire.
I may also be started to design and sell some of my own designs over at probably Etsy but possibly Society6! But this will depend on if I have time as I'm in college from 9-5 Monday-Wednesday and I work 2 to 3 days the rest of the week. But we'll see! I'm also thinking on making some free printables from design work I created over the summer- mainly my 'Thank You' notes I created for giving out after my birthday, which I'd expand to include RVSP and Save The Dates. Would this be something you would be interested in? Let me know!
So stay tuned to the blog for more and more posts! Let me know below what your excited for this month.

So today is the start of a new month, I hope everybody has been enjoying their Summer. I know the last few weeks the UK has been having a bit of a heat wave apart from this past week where it's been pretty rubbish weather.
So tell me how has your summer been so far? Have you been on holiday or had a staycation? Tell me all about!
