Yesterday I met up with Charlotte from Colours and Carousels in my home town, Stonehaven for the afternoon. It was Charlotte's first time here and so of course, I played a bit of the tourist guide and showed her some my favourite places in Stonehaven including Aunty Betty's and the rock pools.

We spent a good bit of time at the rock pools, climbing around them and on the rocks. It is a really beautiful and also very secluded part of Stonehaven so if you're ever in the town I would recommend having a little walk to the Cowie are where they mainly are and have a look for yourself. 

I've also been working on a little something that will hopefully go live next week at some point. To give a little hint on it, Alli Speed, Charlotte and Charli Marie all inspired it... can you guess what it is?

Yesterday I had my exhibition in Edinburgh for Wednesday's Girl. I didn't share much within Wednesday's Post about it and haven't shared too much about it on Social Media since either apart from the display of my work. 

Getting myself to where the exhibition was being held and getting my folio sorted was a bit chaotic due to some, urh, bad circumstances but overall it was a really good experience to have, the people were lovely and the space was really large which is always good! I also got the opportunity to be interviewed by STV (the Scottish equivalent of ITV) for the Edinburgh show; Founatinbridge. I'm not going to lie, it was extremely nerve racking and I was so scared I would mess up! But I didn't the only thing to go wrong (for me anyway) was that they forgot to mic me up before starting to record!

It's been a while (again) since I've posted on this blog, oops. I have been busy doing some stuff- actually, no scrap that I've been spending my time binge watching shows on Netflix and freaking out about this exhibition today. Plus I feel that I haven't got my 'mojo' back yet with this blog and am still in a bit of a rut with it. 

But anyway, I'm just posting today in regards with the Wednesday's Girl Exhibition I poster about a few weeks ago. It is today in Edinburgh and I would absolutely love if any of you are kicking about Edinburgh today to come pop in past for a bit. If you do want to come along these are the details:

Something I really struggled with before my little 'blogging break' I was stuck with my Sunday Summaries as I was starting to get pretty bored of them. I've also wanted to throw a bit more of lifestyle out there and some more talky like posts just about things I've been thinking or up to, which is where Thursday Thoughts has started!

This weeks been crazy in terms of me thinking stuff. With the election happening last week and all the things that has happened since then with the Conservatives coming into power and SNP gaining majority of seats in Scotland it's a bit mental. 

But on a less serious side of things I've started organising things for my birthday next month (a week today!), went to a 'fun' fair and had some yummy ice cream too! I'm also thinking of getting into vlogging but I'm not sure yet as I would probably be using my iPhone for like 95% of that...

Anyway, with this Thursday Thoughts I'm just going to be sharing some snapshots of my week along with somethings I've been thinking this week. On the weeks I've not really been thinking anything important I'll probably just do a tag or something! 

I just wanted to share a quick little 'update' for today's post. Mainly the reason being is that at the end of this month, the 27th to be exact, I'm going to be having some of my own work displayed at the Space Club in Argyle House to do with the 4 week long exhibition, 'Wednesday's Girl'. 

The date I'm going to have stuff shown is actually the last date throughout the series of exhibitions but I will still share photos from it on this blog afterwards. It's a really exciting opportunity for me as the only exhibitions I have ever done were those that were held within the College so this will be really my first proper 'real-life' exhibition! I'm kind of terrified because it's not even that close to home as it's in Edinburgh. But it is a huge opportunity and will hopefully, end up being some sort of push within this area! 

At the current moment I'm not 100% on what work I'm actually going to have displayed. I know it's going to be work that will be in-line with my #Create365 project  but I've been debating between having some of my favourite illustrated blown up and printed to either A3 or A4. OR coming up with newer ideas and just creating them at the correct sizes... As well as that I have also thought of possibly creating a wooden piece or two by using laser cutter and etching one of my designs into wood?

It's a lot I have to think about between now and realistically at least a week and a half/2 weeks! But I would love to hear what you guys think I should do? 

Also, if you're going to be around or in Edinburgh on the 27th of May between 6:30 and 8:30pm I would love if you could come along. Would be awesome to meet you all! 

So I shared in Part 1 of this my original concepts and stuff I played around with but this post is more my final designs/work that I submitted. It is the work I'm really proud of and will appear in my portfolio/behance.

After my initial play around with ideas, structure and media I took the bits and pieces I enjoyed doing most or felt could be developed further to create my more 'final' designs. My main one though was one based of more what I read, found and thought about during the project which I put together into a Zine. The other pieces were either my 'hand drawn lettering' truths about social media and my mock Social Media app poster/ad designs.

'Life Studio'

I'm actually thinking of developing this concept more throughout the Summer to actually look like a proper app. I don't have a huge amount of UI design so it would be wise of me to expand this just to have some design work with it more predominantly with it. It'll probably be like a cross of Instagram and Pinterest but with a more sleek, minimalist design.  

So yesterday I shared the final stuff from my Communication and Interaction project and I just want to say firstly, thank you for all the lovely comments about it! Made my day. Today I'm sharing work from my self directed project for Creative Research.

For my Creative Research I had a big kind of turning point this term with it, or according to my lecture I just had an 'epiphany'... Either way this semester this project changed quite a lot to what it was in my last update, which I'm actually glad about because I created a few things I'm so, so happy with!

But yeah, what was my epiphany this semester? It was basically a decision to just step back from the very narrow idea I was working on and just start creating things I wanted to do because it was fun or a bit different but still within keeping alongside the same theme I was originally doing. My theme I had been working on was Social Media but by the end of the project it really turned into how we are effected by Internet Culture and what we think of it.

To start with I'm going to split this into two posts, this one I want to more show some of my original development work which really took me into my final designs. I haven't shown much of this project throughout so it'll be nice to see what you all think of this as well.
