During the weekend Darren and I were able to visit my local Car Boot as I wasn't working the morning. We are usually quite sceptical about going to this one as it doesn't usually have many outstanding 'buys' but this weekend was probably one of the best we've been too.
I'm sure that this week again I have seen so many things that I honestly can't remember, but anyway here we go!
The Flower Garden - Rebecca Louise Law This women has done amazing installations. Her designs are mind blowingly beautiful! |
How to Sell Your Art // Email Marketing - Market Your Creativity The tips on this blog post are really great. If you ever plan to try and sell/promote your artwork through a mailing list I would definitely give this a read! |
Alli Speed Vlogger I've highighted on this blog before about Alli Speed but with recent events she has definitely taken a huge stride in her life just now. At the moment, she is on a YouTuber trip across Europe. Her vlogs are incredibly insightful so you really should give them a watch. |
Will You - The Tea Drinking English Rose A package Charlotte sent to her bridesmaids-to-be. The packages created are incredibly beautiful and I would honestly be so happy to receive one of these myself! |
Street Art - Brit&Co A collection of brilliantly thought out pieces of graffiti. |
What brilliant things have you stumbled upon this week?
Recently I've been getting into snail mail a lot more. Like many on the blogsphere, we all seem to love the idea of putting pen to paper and writing heart felt letters, postcards, cards instead of just messaging each other back and forth! Within the past few months, I've been taking part in more snail mail type things like Dainty and Ivory's Craft swap. So, with all of this, I've decided I want to do more snail mail. If you would like to start sending snail mail to me, with me sending you some back then send me an email over at OhHayBlogs@gmail.com.
Within time, I may develop this further like Hannah has, but for the time being I just want to send some lovely snail mail to some lovely people.
I've honestly just realised I never wrote this post around the time of my birthday a month ago! On the lead up to my birthday, I had started seeing a few posts like these and really wanted to do one myself, but then I forgot! Anyway, in the last year of my teens (I'll no longer be a teen, oh wow!) there is several things I want to do during this last year or so.
My set up at the Exhibition |
I've been meaning to write this post for ages now (well since I finished College) but have never got round to it. I've been wanting to write about it just for it to be something I can look back on in the future but also to give any person who is currently at College or going into College or even just thinking about it that little push.
There's been loads I've seen this week that I've loved but I have forgotten where I seen them. However, I do still have a few things this week that's pretty awesome!
A Productive To-Do List - A Little Opulent I love these tips, they are definitely going on my bookmarked list for those days I'm not feeling it. |
While I was away in Edinburgh I picked up a few things to take home. I loved the variety of shops that there was around the Grassmarket and Royal Mile area and I definitely did splurge in a few of these! I also picked up something for my room and a few things just to remember the holiday by.

Meerkat Necklace - Edinburgh Zoo
Geometric Deer Card - Red Door Gallery
Geometric Deer Notebook Set £4 - Red Door Gallery
Fox Pouch £28 - Red Door Gallery
Mini Bear £3 - Miss Katie Cupcake
Mini Owl Ceramic £4.50 - Miss Katie Cupcake
Cookey Washi Tape £2.50 - Eden

What's some of your favourite things you've bought while on Holiday? Whether it's something from a brand store, independent shops or a market stall?
A few weeks ago in my Pinterest Favourites, I had mentioned how I was considering switching around my weekly monthly feature about my favourite things. I've felt that sharing my favourite things I've found this week or so is a much better and easier way to show things as it doesn't just have to come from Pinterest! The things I share will range from music to art to blogposts to stores. I hope you enjoy this new feature*!
An Interactive Thunderstorm Cloud by Richard Clarkson I would love to have this in my room. Obviously it's not for everybody, but personally I love a good thunderstorm! |
This has honestly been one amazing and utterly brilliant weeks- probably my favourite week out of the year so far! It's had so many highlights that I wish I could go back to this time last week!
So we're back again for another week! After last week I'm still contemplating this little 'segment' over but for now it's staying! Here's what I've been uh, drooling over this past week!
Salty Rose Drawing I came across this illustrator from pinterest and all their work is amazing! Each of the illustrations are very thought provoking. |
This week has been very laid back. The main thing that I did this week was my little walk to the beach on Monday that I shared here. I honestly had such a nice day with Sarah and it was so relaxing just to be back beside the sea and not doing very much at all!
Over the past month I haven't been listening to my ipad as much but been taking to the playlists of YouTube. With many late nights getting ready for the exhibition, I needed something to try and keep me awake and somewhat energised, which is why I turned to music! Obviously I've only shared a few of these from the mass amounts of playlists I listened to but these are probably my favourite ones!
What's on your playlist just now?

What have you been doing this past month?
At the start of the week Sarah and I planned to go out with our cameras and, well, take lots and lots of photos! It's been a while since I've seen Sarah so it was really nice to just have a little catch up and have a bit of rant about other things too! It was a really peaceful afternoon with the schools not off yet, just lots of people out with their dogs, ducks swimming about and the ever lasting annoyance of seagulls!
I can't believe that once again it is the start of a new month! Anyway, let's have a look at how I managed last months goals!
Save!- I haven't done as much saving as I'd like to due to the fact that Darren and I booked a little holiday to Edinburgh next week but my bank account is up to a healthier sum!
Enjoy- I've definitely done this! I've loved June! Even though my birthday hadn't gone all to plan it was still a great night and the End of Year Show was an overall success!
Develop- Ok so I haven't really done much of this but I've only been finished college for a week so July/August will be more high time for that! I have been able to get my camera(s) out more so at least that's something!

Create- I've said this enough times to not have actually done it yet! But this month (and next) I will create more for my shop and myself!
Make the most of my days- this summer I don't want to be sitting on my but doing nothing all day! I was out for a large amount of the day and I had a great time catching up with a friend and taking some photos that I want to do things like that more!
Continue my reading habit- Last month I've managed to get a through a few more books than I've managed in past months so I hope to get back into my old swing of readings!
What's your goals for the next month?
